The certificate in Forensic Accounting contains six units: test

Unit 1: An Introduction to Forensic Accounting

One of the key functions of a forensic accountant is to explain the nature of various financial crimes to the court. Unit 1 defines forensic accounting, explains the features and importance of forensic accountants to the court and in several businesses.

Unit 2: Common Personality Traits of Fraudsters

With this unit, candidates are exposed to the several effects of fraud in an organization and how they can be prevented. It highlights the characteristics that define a fraudster and trains candidates on how to quickly identify those characteristics in a suspect.

Unit 3: Fraud Detection Methods

An overview of financial crimes and a detailed explanation of the use of financial and economic knowledge to detect fraud. Unit 3 trains candidates on the use of effective methods that can be applied to avoid fraud.

Unit 4: General Investigative Procedures

The purpose of this unit is to explain the investigation process from an accounting perspective. It gives the various vital steps and best procedures that a forensic accountant takes in order to gather evidence relevant to the apparent criminal activity.

 Unit 5: Evaluation and Assessment: Gather Evidence

Evidence is the body of facts that stipulates whether an allegation or proposition is true or not. In this unit, candidates will be taught the various tactics that increase the plausibility of perceiving the truth in an investigation.

Unit 6: Collecting Non-Financial Evidence

This unit discusses the use of non-financial methods to improve fraud risk assessments. It explicates the definition of non-financial evidence and the interview procedure for acquiring substantial evidence.

Our forensic accounting certificate programs provide students with a wide range of job opportunities including senior / internal / external auditor, assurance manager / specialist, tax accountant / specialist, budget analyst, forensic accountant and a lot more. The starting salary for beginners in this field ranges from £30,000 to £60,000.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
