Certificate in Fashion Design QLS Level 2

This course comprises of four modules;

UNIT 1: An Overview of Fashion Design

In the first unit, the principles of design are discussed under historical context, this helps candidates to have better knowledge of the modern fashion world. It teaches novice or starting fashion designers the need-to-know information on how to improve their art.

UNIT 2: The Fashion Forecasting Process

This unit defines fashion forecasting and gives the various strategies or techniques for clear-cut fashion forecasting. Candidates gain more knowledge of the fashion cycle which enables them to develop certain skills needed to be capable of predicting future trends.

UNIT 3: Elements of Art and Design

In this unit, the link between elements and principles of design is explained extensively and candidates are taught to use these elements and principles to command attention in their designs. The importance of applying these principles are also discussed.

UNIT 4: Key Design Principles

The last unit points out the basic and most important principles of design to follow in order to create outstanding designs. It simplifies the design process and explains the application of these principles.

Candidates can work as designers at any design firm earning an annual wage of £36,500 for starters or work in other sectors like education. They can also decide to gain further knowledge by partaking in the higher levels of Fashion Design.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
