Course Syllabus

The certificate in marketing contains five units:

Unit 1: Marketing-An Introduction   

Marketing is the process through which products and services reach the consumer. The process includes advertising, promoting, selling and delivering products or services. These steps are explained in detail with examples and effective strategies.

Unit 2: Marketing Strategy and Planning

Tactical planning and marketing strategies play a crucial role in the success of any business. This unit enumerates some of the basic marketing strategies and the process of choosing or building a marketing plan that will achieve the company’s goals.

Unit 3: Advertising and Networking

Advertising is a huge and important part of marketing. This unit trains candidates on strategic advertising skills. It defines advertising, states its types, purpose, importance, examples and explains the concept and types of networking.  

Unit 4: The Promotional Mix

The promotional mix is a part of the marketing mix. This unit delves deeper into marketing plan and strategy. It defines the promotional mix, its elements, types, strategies and explains how a marketing team utilizes the promotional mix to reach company goals.

Unit 5: Personal Selling and Sales Promotion

Going deeper into the promotional mix, this unit focuses on personal selling and sales promotion. It defines both and states the notable differences between them. It also gives key sales promotion techniques.

There is a large number of high-level marketing roles for candidates who complete this course, such as; sales, advertising, market research, public relations and many others with a salary of £43,000 for beginners. Candidates may also choose to gain more knowledge by taking the higher levels of this course.
