Course Syllabus

The award in fashion design focuses on mainly two modules;

UNIT 1: An Overview of Fashion Design

The first exposes candidates to the basic principles in the fashion industry, simple tools in designing and color selection. It expatiates on the role of fashion designers in the society and the importance of fashion design.

UNIT 2: Dress Designing and Color Selection

The last discusses dress design and color selection in relation to fashion design. This unit gives the candidates knowledge of fashion development process which is essential for beginners. These components include; design sketching, color selection, garment patterns and many other components.

Following the completion of the course, candidates will be able to pursue different career aspects in the fashion industry including fashion designing, textile designer, retail manager and much more. Candidates have the opportunity to acquire more skills and experience to subsist in higher levels in fashion design. The standard salary for novice fashion designers starts from $36,500.
